PM Modi launches Central National Science Conclave

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Central National Science Conclave via video conference on Saturday with the aim of fostering the technology and innovation ecosystem.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), it is the first conclave of its kind and, in the spirit of cooperative federalism, strengthens the coordination and cooperation mechanism between the central government and the states, and strengthens the national government. Build a science, technology and innovation (STI) ecosystem.
The two-day Conclave will be held at Science City, Ahmedabad on September 10-11. This will include sessions on various thematic areas including STI Vision 2047. Future growth path and vision for STI in the state. Health – Digital healthcare for everyone. Double private sector investment in R&D by 2030. Agriculture – technical interventions to improve farmers’ income. Water – Innovations for producing drinking water. Energy – Clean energy for all, including the role of science and technology in hydrogen missions. Relevance of deep sea missions to coastal states/UTs and future economies of the countries.
The opening ceremony of the conclave was attended by Gujarat Prime Minister Bhupendra Patel and Federal Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh.
The first-of-its-kind conclave will include science and technology ministers, secretaries of state, heads of federal territories, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, NGOs, young scientists and students, the PMO said.
