Born in Mexico City, Coral had a passion for clothing design from an early age. Her mother was a dressmaker, and Coral grew up exposed to her fine fabrics and custom-made clothes. In 2005, Coral began designing for select clients without any fashion instruction or training. Once she decided to pursue her passion, she studied fashion design at the California Museum of Art in San Francisco.

Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, she was honored in Fall 2012 with the Best Portfolio Award. In 2009 she won Best Overall Effect at the California Museum-San Francisco Fashion Show. Other awards include 2009 and 2010 where she won Best of Women’s DayWear at Discarded to Divine, 2011 where she won 1st place in the OC-Fashion Week design competition, and 2013 where she won Coral Orange has been recognized as one of her county’s best designers. In 2019 Coral won the Mos Adams Fashion Innovator Award. In 2018, Coral joined the series She’s STITCHED and finished as the winner of Episode 5.
