Lam joins NC as a deputy director.education
The North County School District recently hired Dr. Lori Lam as an Assistant Superintendent to fill the vacancy left by Jason Samples, who is currently Superintendent of the Valley R-6 School District.
In her role as Assistant Superintendent, Lamb oversees the primary education and Pre-K through sixth grade curriculum and serves as Director of Federal Programs and Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP) Coordinator. She has been involved in teaching for her 28 years.
“In addition, I lead several of our district programs, including Parents as Teachers, Technology Department, Substitutes, Enrollment, Volunteers, Language Minority and Limited English Students, and Homeless Students,” Lam said. Lamb came to North County from Farmington School District. For her 18 years, she taught from her first grade through her fourth grade at Fox C-6 School District, and for the next two years, she held her first administrative position at County County Elementary School as Vice Principal. She then served as Assistant Principal at the Lincoln Intermediate Center in the Farmington School District.
“I then served as principal at Washington Franklin Elementary School in Farmington R-7 School District, the elementary school my husband and I attended, for seven years before returning to North St. Francois County R-1 School District as Vice Superintendent.” Ram explained recently.
Lam holds a PhD in Education in Leadership and Learning from Missouri Baptist University. She holds a Professional Degree in Education Administration, a Master of Education Administration from Missouri Baptist University, a Master of Education from Southwest Baptist University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri. st. Louis, Associate Degree from Mineral Area College. She is a member of the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA).
Lam said she is looking forward to this North County chapter of her teaching career.
“I am thrilled to be returning to the district that gave me my first try as an administrator and working with (Superintendent Katie) Mrs. Bockman and (Superintendent Brandon) Dr. Gregory again,” she said. . “We have worked well together so far and I am happy to be a cohesive group focused on our district’s mission and vision. We are unequivocally committed to providing exemplary educational experiences for and families.”
When she’s not working, Lamb said she enjoys reading and scrapbooking. Together she has four sons: Ian, Evan, Eli, Alec, and Morkey, a Maltese cross. and a Yorkshire Terrier named Mia.
