While you can’t actually try on the doll’s hot pink wardrobe, the Hilary McMillan Barbie collection comes pretty close: The Canadian vegan and cruelty-free brand is launching a nostalgic 15-piece collection, “Shades of Pink” in collaboration with her iconic Mattel toys. Each piece represents Barbie across generations, and the capsule includes a pin created in collaboration with Canadian jewelry designer Biko. To mark the August 11 launch, McMillan opened her first pop-up Her Concept Her store at 131 Bloor Street West in Toronto.
Virgil Abloh’s Legacy Celebrated at Nordstrom
Designer Virgil Abloh, who died in November, was best known for infusing optimism and innovation into everything he touched. To celebrate this icon of fashion, New Concepts @ Nordstrom has partnered with his property on pop-up Concept 018: Virgil Abloh Securities. Available at the Nordstrom Pacific Center and his shop-within-a-shop at Nordstrom.ca, the shop offers women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and an exclusive off-white capsule.
