Epicurean Butter LLC of Thornton, Colorado is recalling a 3.5 oz container of “Wegmans Lemon Dill Finishing Butter” food due to a recall from our frozen dill supplier, SupHerb Farms. Listeria monocytogenesorganisms that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the frail or elderly, and others with weakened immune systems.

Even healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria Infection can cause miscarriage or stillbirth in pregnant women.

The recalled Wegmans Lemon Dill Finishing Butter was sold at Wegmans Food Markets in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, North Carolina and Washington, DC.

The product comes in a 3.5 oz black plastic cup with the Wegmans label around and on the lid. The cup has a lidding film that is sealed under the lid. “Best By” and the lot number are printed in blue ink near the label on the cup. The following products are affected by this recall.

These are the only lots affected by this recall.

To date, no illnesses related to this problem have been reported.

Epicurean Butter LLC has received notice from a herb supplier that certain lots of frozen dill may be potentially contaminated. Listeria Based on testing from one of our Canadian supplier’s food manufacturing customers using the ingredient in one of their final products.

Consumers who have purchased a 3.5 oz. package of “Wegmans Lemon Dill Finishing Butter” are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the Company at 303-427-5527 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time Zone (MST).
