WSGS says there are 50 free toolkits to serve Wyoming classrooms
According to a recent press release, the 2022 Earth Science Week toolkit is now available in Wyoming classrooms. The 50 toolkits provided by the American Geoscience Institute (AGI) to the Wyoming Geological Survey (WSGS) are “available free of charge to Wyoming educators on a first-come, first-served basis.”
Earth Science Week takes place October 9-15 and celebrates the theme “Earth Science for a Sustainable World”. According to AGI’s website, the 2022 event will highlight the vital role of Earth Science in “helping people make decisions that sustain and enhance the Earth’s ability to support thriving life.”
“The Wyoming Geological Survey is grateful to AGI for its generosity in providing free toolkits to teachers statewide,” said WSGS Director and Wyoming State Geologist Erin Campbell, Ph.D. . “These toolkits are useful for the classroom. They contain interesting materials that will get students interested in earth science.”
