The Fall Toddler Screening will be held on Tuesday, October 4th in the basement of Trinity Lutheran Church. Any child from the age of 3 and a half can participate. We are still accepting reservations by calling 7947873. Screening is free and takes at least an hour to complete. Local schools require proof that screening has been completed before entering kindergarten. A similar developmental screen may be offered by a doctor.
The next Defensive Driving class for those 55 and over will start on Monday, October 10th at 1:00pm or 5:00pm. First-time attendees will also join at 5:00 PM. Materials from the Minnesota Safety Council, 10% discount on vehicle insurance when you complete the course every three years. The last chance to enter this fall is Tuesday, November 1st at 1:00 PM or 5:00 PM.
Youth Driver Education fall session details and registration forms are now available at your high school office. Priority will be given to those who will be 15 years old by December 31st. A spring session will be held for those turning 15 by June 1, 2023. The first class could take place at 3:30-6:15 PM on Monday, November 7, depending on the playoff schedule. The deadline for registration forms is November 1st.
Next month’s quilting class is Saturday, October 22nd from 8am to 4pm. The group will meet in the Sleepy Eye School cafeteria to share a potluck lunch. Help is available for simple to complex projects, so all skills and levels are encouraged to attend. You can make not only quilts, but also accessories such as wall hangings and table runners.
The ECFE Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 29th from 3-5pm in the parking lot of Sleepy Eye School. This fun event will be filled with fall-themed games, trunks, or treats for anyone who wants to join in on the fun. and say hello to the little ones who stop by to see you. Wear full costume and no weapons.
Visit the Chanhassen Dinner Theater on Wednesday, December 7th and have the chance to see ‘Footloose’ on the big stage. Lunch, matinee performances and bus trips are included in the price. Reservations required by November 7th.
