An EU-funded start-up has just launched a system that it believes presents a solution to these pressing problems, and it uses a unique application of blockchain technology to achieve it.

Data Lake has created a global medical data donation program that allows medical data to be donated to science, just like donating blood. Their program is based on user consent and privacy, using blockchain technology to verify donor consent and ensure that data is only used with permission.
