Sophomores and seniors from the National Charity League, Inc. San Diego chapter celebrated with family and friends on Sunday, May 1, at the Senior Awards Ceremony and Fashion Show at the US Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego.

This combined event was a collaboration between the 2024 Sophomore class and the 2022 Senior class and adopted the theme “Out of the Woods.” The evening began with patroness Jennifer Tankersley introducing the older girls called Tiktokers and acknowledging the successful completion of the NCL’s six-year program of philanthropic, cultural, and leadership activities. The elderly, accompanied by their fathers, wore white as a symbol of new beginnings and fresh opportunities. We are proud to honor the following senior citizens who have contributed more than 4,600 hours of charitable work. 2024 sophomore

After the awards ceremony, the 2024 class of students showcased their Nordstrom fashions at Fashion Valley. After months of training and rehearsals, 28 of her sophomore Ticktockers walked the runway, where he modeled outfits from three different designers in front of 375 attendees. The preparation and experience of attending fashion shows helps these young women develop confidence and composure, as well as leadership and public-facing skills.

NCL, Inc. San Dieguito currently has 260 members and provides hands-on volunteer service to 30 charities within the community. Members are a woman and her daughters from Grade 7 to her Grade 12. Through this community service, NCL, Inc. develops socially responsible community leaders and strengthens mother-daughter relationships.
