Over the past two years, parents and educators have faced significant challenges in transitioning to remote or hybrid work, while at the same time facilitating their children’s learning. This problem has been exacerbated by the pandemic. Out Of The Box was founded on the philosophy that meaningful learning and play can (and should) happen anywhere, not just in traditional schools. components of boxed classroom Modular and mobile, kids are free to experiment with different configurations and uses. The unit also comes with an artificial intelligence-enabled digital platform that offers a personalized learning journey tailored to each child’s unique learning needs and a learning library with expandable content.

A study conducted at the University of Cambridge found that a guided, play-based approach that allows children to explore at their own pace is as good as a traditional classroom environment in teaching literacy, critical thinking and numeracy. Effective. Out Of The Box co-founder Yu Qian Ang, whose mother was her preschool teacher for over 20 years, said of the inspiration behind the project: “For children, every interaction is an opportunity for learning, and traditional asymmetric educational approaches can discourage them.”

Out Of The Box has won multiple international awards, including an Audience Choice Award at the World Bank’s Youth Summit, and was also honored with Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas and Innovation by Design.

Through the Kickstarter campaign, the co-founders hope to build a community of enthusiastic early adopters who provide feedback and ideas and grow with the product. Supporters also have the option of supporting efforts to bring these experiences to disadvantaged children.
