When the women of Keys Weekly were considering ideas to focus on women under 40, one of the first names that came to mind was Maison Benitez. Not only is she under 40, but under 25, she is more skilled and professional than many people twice her age.

But….why did there have to be a “but”?

Maison works out of our office, but not Keys Weekly, but our sister company Overseas Media Group (OMG), a full-service digital marketing agency specializing in website development, digital advertising and social media. I work for Maison was the first social media manager and digital strategist hired by her COO, Annie Briening, at OMG, and wants to clone her as the company continues to grow.

“I manage social media accounts at OMG, which means I create content. I strategize, meet with clients regularly, and post on all my social media accounts,” she said. I was. “This was my dream job. She started social media when she was 15 at a gym in North Carolina and loved it.”

She joined OMG when she was just 19 years old and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. “I was working full-time as a full-time student and completing my degree online at Florida International University,” she said.

But the Maison’s personal ambitions began long before he joined OMG. She had graduated from high school with an associate’s degree. It was her five-year program that she finished in her four and a half years.

She moved to Key West in December 2019 to do an internship at the non-profit Reef Relief, where she also worked on social media. In May 2020, she met her FYT key Breening, who got a job at West and works there.

“My parents were talking about moving to Fort Myers, so I knew I couldn’t afford to live in Key West with just Jim’s work. When Annie interviewed me for OMG, it was a perfect fit.” It seemed like

The company’s social media clients include local construction companies, restaurants and resorts. “All of our clients are based on Keys, so we know them and the communities around them,” she says.

She is engaged to Damian Sellers and plans to marry in January 2023.
