Health Equity Initiative Named Faculty Champion

Six faculty members were named Purdue University’s Health Equity Initiative’s inaugural West Lafayette campus faculty champions. The initiative is led by Dr. Jerome Adams, Executive Director of the Health Equity Initiative.
Two Faculty Champions will co-lead efforts in each of three thematic pillars: 1) Food for Health, 2) Infectious Diseases, and 3) Mental Health and Substance Abuse.
The faculty champions for each pillar are:
healthy food
- Hayley Oliver, Professor of Food Science, Faculty of Agriculture.
- William Clark, Professor, Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering.
Infection
- Randolph Hubach, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health, College of Health and Human Sciences.
- Prof. Steve Steinhubl, Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
mental health and substance abuse
- Nicole Adams, Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Nursing, College of Health and Human Sciences.
- Hugh Lee, Associate Professor, Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, School of Engineering.
