Harlem’s Fashion Row x LVMH Recognizes Janet Jackson as Opening Fashion Week – VIBE.com

Harlem’s Fashion Row partnered with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton on Tuesday (September 6) to kick off New York Fashion Week 2022 with its 15th Anniversary Fashion Show and Style Awards. The show, held at Harlem’s General Grant National Memorial, honored black fashion designers such as Jonathan Hayden, Nicole Benefield and Clarence Ruth to showcase his Spring 2023 collections.
Style awards were presented, including the first Virgil Abloh Award given to Issa Rae. Janet Jackson wins ICON of the Year. Additionally, Robin Givhan was named Editor of the Year, Ade Samuel was named Stylist of the Year, and Sergio Hudson was named Designer of the Year.
After the show, guests headed to the after-party held at the Jazz at Lincoln Center, in partnership with Moët Hennessy USA and supporting sponsor Amazon. During the event, guests enjoyed live music from her Cam’ron of Harlem, sponsored by Amazon Music.
