Thousands of BC businesses can access Digital Marketing Bootcamp opportunities to hone their online skills in another extension of our popular program.
To be eligible, a business must be based in BC and registered to do business in BC. The program is run by Alacrity Canada, a non-profit media company, and is open to companies with 1 Him to 149 Her employees.
“Our team is excited to help BC-based companies strengthen their digital marketing skills and, as a result, increase their revenue. We can’t wait to help build resilient businesses with Alacrity Canada,” said Richard Egli, CEO of Alacrity Canada.
The program is led by industry leaders and provides instruction through methods such as live and virtual classrooms and mentoring. Voluntary online options are also available.
First launched in 2019 and extended through the summer of 2021, the program will help more than 6,000 participants digitize their businesses, adapt to changing models, respond to changing customer demands, and transform their businesses. The news release said it helped drive growth.
The state government provided an additional $1.5 million to run future sessions, bringing the total to $6 million.
“The Digital Marketing Bootcamp has been a huge success and is one way we continue to support businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.” “Through this program and our StrongerBC economic plan, BC business owners will have the knowledge, tools and skills to help reorient their businesses to meet the needs of the changing digital world.”
Shamin Jewelery operates three stores in Metro Vancouver. Shamin operator Sharaz Kassam noticed an increase in online sales within 30 days of completing the camp.
“I am now using my new skills to fine-tune our website and social media presence, and our sales continue to grow,” says Kassam. As a small business owner, bootcamp has been very helpful. “
