Caesars Entertainment announced Wednesday a national tour featuring a customized 18-wheeler instead of a chariot. The truck will promote the Las Vegas company’s online sports betting app at 17 scheduled stops during the upcoming Super Bowl.
The tour begins Monday at Highland Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, where the Buffalo Bills host the Tennessee Titans. According to a Caesars release, the first stop will coincide with the opening of Caesars’ “sportsbook-style” lounge in the northwest corner of the stadium.
At the stadium, large rigs act as activation centers, offering unique incentives for new users and a “VIP experience” for Caesars Rewards members. It also hosts production and podcast studios to deliver content at each tour stop.Caesars Sportsbook Partner ESPNCBS Sports, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, as well as Caesars ambassadors and other celebrities will participate in content development.
“Along with Caesars, we have designed an unforgettable live experience that will delight sports fans across the country,” said Manning.
change direction
The track tour highlights the second year of Caesars’ sportsbook business. Caesars Entertainment acquired sports betting operator William Hill last year and will officially rebrand its US division under his Caesars name in August 2021.
The tour also demonstrates Caesars’ changing approach to acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
Providing our customers with memorable experiences and treating them like loyalty continues to be a key focus for us. ” Caesars Digital President Eric Hesshon said: “Caesars Sportsbook & Casino Truck Tour is an exciting chapter in our story as we shift our marketing focus to a more localized and targeted approach in our second year.”
Seeming to catch up with the likes of FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM last year, Caesars offered new users up to $5,000 “no risk” bets last year. Such bonuses helped them become the early leaders of New York, although they were overtaken by FanDuel and DraftKings.
Earlier this year, Caesars announced plans to shrink advertising spending in its online business. On its second-quarter earnings call with investment analysts at its parent company, CEO Tom Reeg said the company cut hundreds of millions of dollars in planned advertising spend to make the digital side more sustainable.
So far, it has not impacted the company’s market share, he added.
“Compared to last fall, we’re going to look completely off the air. say.
NFL, college football games on tour
After Buffalo, the Caesars Tour returns to Lucas Oil Stadium on September 25 for the Indianapolis Colts’ home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Most of the stops are related to NFL games. But there are two regular-season college football games on the tour. On October 8, Ohio moved to Michigan, and on November 5, Alabama and he LSU renewed their rivalry at Baton Rouge. Caesars is an official partner of LSU Athletics.
There’s also an NHL game on the schedule as the truck is in Washington DC for the Capitals’ home opener against the Boston Bruins on October 12th. Caesars operates a sportsbook at the Capital One Arena.
