Still, the Brazilian influencer is always working to improve herself. Specifically, she holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing from the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI).
Alves is a clear example of how international experience and experience can drive personal and professional growth. We spoke to her about her motivations, how her experiences shaped her career, and more.
How did you get started as an influencer?
I made a YouTube channel for au pair exchange in America. My goal was to share my experience and inspire other women to do the same.
It’s truly amazing what my content can reach and make a difference in people’s lives. I think the biggest challenge is the task of creating content. There is a lot of planning, research, and commitment behind travel and beautiful photography, and it takes a lot of time.
What’s your favorite part of creating content?
I am sure that I am receiving thank you and thank you messages from followers who have somehow inspired me to book the same trip, go to the same restaurant, move to another country, or start studying abroad.
My audience is the main pillar of all my work. Without them the channel and all his Mi Alves works would not exist.
Why did you choose to study for a degree in Digital Marketing?
During my professional life, I had the opportunity to work on the marketing teams of two companies and fell in love with the work. I decided to pursue a degree in Digital Marketing after realizing that marketing and digital could be combined. BSBI has the perfect course that combines these two worlds to help you better understand emerging trends and markets.
Please tell us about your school trip. How did you get into BSBI?
In college, I created a YouTube channel to document my experiences and share them with women around the world. Since then, I have visited 23 of her countries and documented every day of her travels in most of them. On one of those trips, I went to Berlin and fell in love with the city.
At first, I thought I would not be able to study or live without learning German, but I eventually found out that I could take the program in English. I chose BSBI which is the perfect combination of quality and value for money.
What sets Alves’ content apart from others is her desire to help shape the decisions and lives of aspiring international students and travelers.Source: Mi Alves
Please describe your experience with BSBI.
My experience studying at BSBI has been a very positive one. Some of my teachers have been very important to my learning, but even more than that, I really value my connections with my classmates. Understanding and respecting differences, learning about different cultures and discussing different topics will make the class richer and more interesting.
What was your experience as an international student in Germany like?
I usually say that I live in Berlin, not Germany. The rest of the country is very different from the capital, so don’t feel bad if you still don’t speak German or follow German traditions.
Berlin is so diverse and multicultural that depending on where you are, it feels like you are in a completely different country. Everyone around me is a foreigner, so I feel at home!
What advice would you give to aspiring content creators who want to follow in your footsteps?
My advice is to do it because you want to, not for fame, partnerships, or free stuff. All of this takes time, but you’ll only get it if you maintain passion, commitment, and truth in the content you create.
First, focus on creating content, finding your niche, adding positivity to people’s lives, and then doing well in this profession!
