Cultural Awareness for Care Professionals: Care professionals understand cultural differences and provide equitable care to communities. This course examines current local, regional, national, and international data to examine disparities in cultural care. Using advanced data analysis, statistical evaluation, and academic discourse, students explore current processes, re-evaluate options, and adopt best practices to provide equitable care for all individuals. mat pilates (via Zoom): Mondays and Wednesdays from September 26th to October 26th, 5:30-6:30pm. 31 October to 26 December (Session 1) or Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm (Session 2). Classes consist of a series of Pilates Method exercises specifically designed to be performed on the mat. Benefits of Pilates exercises include flexibility, muscle tone, body balance, spinal support, lower back health, sports performance, and increased mind-body awareness. Suitable for all levels, but students should be able to perform the exercises on the floor using a mat. Prior to the start date, the instructor will email her Zoom invitation to enrolled students to join the course. $65.
Reporter Recertification: September 29, 8am-noon, LCC DTV Building 201. Flagger’s currently certified recertification course or a card that has expired no more than one month before his class date. $100.
flagger certified: October 13, 7am-3pm, LCC DTV Building 201. Professional flagging techniques and appropriate work zone identification in accordance with the Standards and Guidelines of the Federal Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Washington Amendment of MUTCD, L&I WAC 296-155-305, and WSDOT State Standards. Learn to set up. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Flagger Card valid for three years. The $100 fee includes textbooks and an ID card.
NIA Functional Fitness: Monday and Thursday, October 13-November 14, 7-8 am (Session 1) or Monday and Thursday, November 17-December 22, 7-8 am (Session 2) , the LCC Pavilion outside the Rose Center. NIA is a form of fusion fitness that combines classical movement forms including martial arts, healing arts, yoga and dance arts. Suitable for all ages.
