| | Fayetteville – Katie Adams was recently hired through a partnership between the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) and Caldwell Discount Drugs to help people in Cross County navigate the healthcare system.
As a community-embedded healthcare worker, Adams answers basic healthcare questions and provides education and resources to the public. Community She’s Health She’s Workers work within their communities to help the public get the care they need and to help them find health care-related information, such as when they need to see a doctor and information about vaccines. Answer important questions.
“We are very excited to work with Katie to bring new resources to the people of Cross County entering the next and hopefully final phase of the COVID-19 pandemic,” UAMS Office of Community Health & Research. We are also excited to work with Caldwell Discount Drugs and the community of Cross County to improve the health of everyone in Arkansas. ”

UAMS Northwest Regional Campus includes 288 medical, pharmacy, nursing and health professional students, 64 medical and pharmacy students, 2 sports medicine fellows and 1,000 community-based faculty .
