Field Experience Information for Teacher Education Programs
- EDUC 1190 requires students to have 45 hours of hands-on experience in K-12 general and special education classrooms during the 12 weeks of the semester.
- After enrolling in a course, students will receive an email with information about applying for field placements.
- All students are required to complete an online placement application to complete field hours.
- Due to limited after-school time options, students should plan their schedules so that observation time is completed between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.
- All students taking this course are required to take and pass a background check. Students are responsible for paying the background check fee. Information about obtaining a background check will be included in the email students receive just before the semester begins.
