Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford missed all three of the Rams’ preseason games last month with a sore elbow. are you there?
Speaking to media on Sunday, Rams head coach Sean McVay made a definitive statement about Stafford’s health. There are no restrictions,” he declared.
“He’ll be ready to go,” McVay said.
This is definitely welcome news for the Rams. The Rams probably don’t want to start John Walford or Bryce Perkins against the number one defense in football.
The Los Angeles Rams have spent a lot of money getting Matthew Stafford into the fold. The reward was immediate as he set multiple team records en route to winning Super Bowl LVI.
After the season, the Rams rewarded Stafford with a four-year, $160 million contract extension, offering a $120 million guarantee and a $63 million signing bonus. Clearly the Rams have all the confidence in the world that Stafford will bring them back to the Promised Land at least once more.
Stafford’s first test of the season will be his biggest, though. The Buffalo Bills are considered favorites to win Super Bowl VII and boast their best defense since last year. It’s a defense that now includes former Bills linebacker Von Miller.
Is Matthew Stafford good enough to lead the Rams to victory?
