The subjects our students are exposed to in high school can lead to lifelong passions and income potential beyond their imagination. The days of high-paying manufacturing jobs available seem to be coming to an end. Students today face the tough task of positioning themselves for future success.

A science education offers students the opportunity to pursue career paths that may lead to a financially secure future. Many of our students have realized the benefits of challenging science classes. The high school science department has a strong desire to nurture a curiosity about science and open their eyes to the endless possibilities that await students when they leave the Tyrone region.

The high school offers a diverse subject portfolio covering all areas of science and engineering. Aside from the basic core core disciplines of Earth Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, Microbiology, Anatomy, Principles of Technology, Advanced Chemistry, General Physical Science Concepts, and Advanced Earth Sciences selections Subjects are offered.

These courses provide students with the best opportunity to explore areas of science that may lead them to alternative career paths, and provide students with the opportunity to establish a secure and financially sound future. .

“Our science curriculum is well-balanced and gives us many options to explore to find our interests,” says third-grader Connor Bennett.

“Science teachers here in the Tyrone area have developed a love of learning about how the universe works, and I look forward to continuing to deepen my understanding in the future,” says Austin, 3rd grader. White said.

“The science curriculum here is much more developed than other subjects,” said Dravyn Crowell, another third-year student. “I’m leaving here feeling ready to tackle my college major.”
