Primary accountability
- Act as an effective team member within the country/region marketing team
- Understand the brand and digital strategy set at the category level and ensure this direction influences regional activation.
- Have a clear understanding of your brand strategy/goals and plan how these can be reflected in your consumer’s digital experience.
- Manage brand stakeholders with regular updates on plans and progress against digital brand strategy
- Work closely with brand teams to gain a clear understanding of existing and future consumer needs and desires
- Working closely with the brand team to help develop content suitable for communication via digital media.
- A thorough understanding of the region’s digital landscape, from which the greatest opportunities for digital communication in the market and region can be highlighted.
- Analysis and interpretation of marketing data (customer data/online performance/web analytics) to understand current activity and identify where experiences can be optimized.
- Reference agreed KPIs to measure and interpret performance impact of delivered initiatives
- Get a clear picture of industry best practices with the latest websites, digital trends and emerging technologies
- We use this data, customer and industry insights, to transform it into actionable initiatives that make a difference in the digital consumer experience, including search, eCRM, digital marketing, social media, and onsite.
- Work closely with the group’s digital marketing and solutions teams to ensure that regional initiatives are understood and there is an agreed work program between regional and group teams
- Contribute to user testing and approval of delivered solutions to ensure that they meet business requirements.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of identified initiatives as needed
- Act as a digital marketing ambassador across the business.
- Develop, mentor and, if necessary, manage junior members of the team.
Internal and External Relations:
- Selection and management of external institutions
- Effectively network with category and digital managers for group functions.
Required knowledge, skills and experience
- Degree level or equivalent in a marketing-related topic, ideally with an online or digital component.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in developing online usability and/or brand propositions
- Solid understanding of designing and optimizing online consumer journeys
- Experience turning consumer data and insights into actionable plans and strategies
- Experience using web analytics (core metrics, Google Analytics, etc.)
- Knowledge of the latest digital marketing trends and a thorough understanding of the digital landscape (website, social, digital marketing, search, mobile)
- Proven planning and project management skills.
- Good decision-making skills based on sound commercial judgment
