Sierra View Medical Center Welcomes New Year and New Life
Ringing in the new year just gets a little sweeter when you’re on the fourth floor of the Sierra View Medical Center celebrating the first baby of 2023. Dulce Roman Jaimes is the proud mother of her Bonifacio Tellez Roman, New Year’s 2023 baby.
The first baby of 2023 was delivered at 12:10am this morning with the help of Kim Estrada, RN in Maternal and Child Health at SVMC. Baby Bonifacio weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 20.5 inches taller than her. This boy had an early appearance with his original due date of January 4, 2023.
Bonifacio is the younger brother of Dulce’s eldest son Gabriel, who is two years old. Uncle Victor Hugo Roman James described how amazing the arrival of baby Bonifacio was. I was surprised that he entered the world so early, but I am grateful that I was able to celebrate the New Year with him.
The hospital provided families with a New Year’s gift containing newborn swaddles, reversible burp cloths, nursing covers, baby nail care kits, SVMC first aid kits, and tidbits for the family (SVMC mugs, lip balm). I gave you a baby gift basket. , hand sanitizer and band-aids.
The first baby born that year is always exciting at the SVMC Birth Center and a tradition of celebrating in our community. I am thrilled to bring him back to and introduce him to my long-awaited family.
