HOushmand has been named the most influential leader in higher education by ROI-NJ.rowan today
Rowan University President Ari A. Houshmand has been named New Jersey’s most influential higher education leader by ROI-NJ, one of New Jersey’s leading business magazines.
“There is only one problem in naming Rowan University President Ari Houshmand the #1 ROI Influencer for 2022 on the Higher Education list. Honor may not be enough,” said ROI- NJ says he recognizes Houshmand in his profile.
In his ten years as president, Houshmand “essentially transformed every aspect and aspect of campus,” ROI-NJ said. “But the fact that he did so while destroying the higher education sector that needed destruction, and the fact that he did it in a way that made Rowan a catalyst for economic development and economic mobility in South Jersey, makes Haushmand. separates him from his peers and demonstrates his overall influence.
“Simply put, Rowan’s transformation under Houshmand’s leadership is a model for states and nations.”
The publication recognizes Houshmand for establishing Rowan University’s Virtua Health College of Medicine and Health Sciences in partnership with two medical schools in Rowan and South Jersey’s largest health system, among many other achievements. He mentions the university’s extraordinary achievements during his tenure, including Carnegie R2 Doctoral College Classification of the University. High research activity is recognized. State’s first veterinary school (accreditation pending).
ROI-NJ also recognizes other influential Rowan leaders. Listed among the top 25 most influential deans and trustees are: Ken Lacovara, Founding Dean of the School of Global Environmental Studies. Annette Revoli, Dean of Rowan University Cooper School of Medicine.
In addition, Rohrer College of Business’s School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Eric Liguori, was named a top higher education influencer in the field of entrepreneurship.
