HEB Accepts Nominations for Excellent Teaching Award

San Antonio – HEB is now accepting educator nominations for the 2023 HEB Excellence in Education Awards.
HEB initiated the Educational Excellence Awards Program in 2002 with the Texas Association of School Administrators to positively impact Texas’ public education system.
Over the past 20 years, the Excellence in Education Awards have awarded approximately $13 million to Texas public schools, boards of education, early childhood institutions, teachers and principals, according to a news release.
The latest undertaking for HE-B’s Excellence in Education Program involved creating limited-edition Creamy Creations flavors called “Education Heroes.”
The ice cream sold out in six months, and HEB donated $11,091.20 of the proceeds to DonorsChoose to help fill Texas teachers’ classroom wish lists.
Applications for the Excellence in Education Awards will be accepted until October 17th. This year’s awards ceremony will be held in Alamo City on his April 30th.
