Governor DeSantis stops by Jacksonville to promote hand-picked school board candidates, education agenda
jacksonville, florida – Gov. Ron DeSantis was in Jacksonville on Sunday for an educational tour.
He does it to promote curated lists of school board candidates and to speak on statewide and sometimes controversial education agendas.
DeSantis said the candidate he endorsed is a parent-supporting, student-first candidate who is committed to his agenda.

The governor’s agenda includes: The plan is to keep schools open, reject lockdowns, educate without indoctrination, reject the use of critical racial theories in curricula, and guarantee parents’ rights to curricula transparency. .
It also mentions raising teacher salaries, expanding workforce development and supporting robust civic education.
