College Board Praise: Bartlesville High School and Tulsa Honor Academy announced that several students have received academic awards from the College Board.
Bartlesville High School’s Jeffrey Engleman, Reid Faust, Dayton McCall, Timber McCall, Jarrett Moore, and Gage Swanson all earned the National Rural and Small City Award, and Regan Patzkowski won the National Hispanic Award. Awarded.
Foust and Swanson also received a National Indigenous Recognition Award.
Tulsa Honor Academy students Victor Cruz, Natalia Mireles Moto, Ismael Ponce, and Leslie Trejo all received National Hispanic Recognition from the College Board.
To be eligible, second- and third-year students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, excel on the PSAT/NMSQT, or have a score of 3 or higher on at least two advanced placement exams.

Student Praise: Tulsa Honor Academy announced Wednesday that 8th grade Melanie Mireles was selected as one of 50 Jack Kent Cook Scholars nationwide.
This five-year program provides intensive academic and college counseling to students with proven financial need.
COVID-19 in numbers: Six school districts and one charter school in the area released their latest COVID-19 case numbers by the close of business on Friday.
Bartlesville Public Schools reported one infection from an employee and three from a student last week. All four attended Bartlesville High School.
Berry Hill has reported zero cases across the district.
Collinsville Public Schools had zero staff cases and eight student cases.
Glenpool Public Schools reported zero cases among its employees and students.
Tulsa Public Schools has reported 5 infections from employees and 24 from students.
At the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences, there were 0 infected employees and 11 infected students.
Bixby, Broken Arrow, Catoosa, Jenks, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Sperry, and Union have not released updated case numbers at this time.
School Board Calendar: The Bartlesville, Catoosa, Owasso, and Tulsa school boards are all scheduled to meet on Monday.
The state school board is scheduled to meet in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
