Fruit Utopia

It took 25 years for this whisky to age and the distilling process happened on 23/4/1996. It was given time to age in a specific mixture of bourbon hogsheads and French oak hogsheads, barrels and barriques. As a result, the whisky takes you through various layers of fruitiness with influences from techniques found in the Cognac area. The scent of the nose starts with very ripe bananas in an atmosphere of cognacs and armagnacs combined with plush oak furniture. As you continue to taste it, you can tell that camphor, tobacco and items like apricots, peaches and pears are part of the whisky’s strong and unique flavor.
This whiskey develops with the profile of fresh croissants, red berries and other exotic fruits, apricots, white wine and tobacco, all with a mentholic and eternal sophistication. A little water helps the flavors of the whisky become more noticeable, like tastes of elderberry jam on shortbread, marzipan, melon and butter. The whisky’s finish is sweet, velvety and balanced with lemon cake, cream, hints of honey, the unmistakable taste of lychee and complementary clementine segments.

Skooshy Stroopwafel

Developed on 04/08/2013 and aged for 11 years, “Skooshy Stroopwafel” is a great single malt whisky that matured in bourbon and European oak PX casks. The unique way it matures gives whisky a strong taste and an impressive history. As you open the bottle, you get scents of apricots, oranges, pears and toasted almonds mingled with a touch of woody aromas.
The first impression is that of sparkling hot fruits which resemble a warm drink of mulled white wine and orange juice, star anise, honey and cinnamon. After the reduction, the whisky becomes deeper, introducing amaretto-studded mince pies which are sweet, spicy, sour and perfectly go with light almond notes. The taste of some pumpkin-spiced iced coffee plus cream on a stroopwafel only makes the experience even better.

Red Wine and Brine in the Old Coal Mine

This whisky called “Red Wine and Brine in the Old Coal Mine” was aged for 25 years and has a strong alcohol content of 50.4%. On 09/06/1999, this version was distilled and was aged in a barrique that had once held Oloroso which led to its intense, oily and beachy character. What you smell and taste while tasting this whisky is truly fascinating. The entire experience starts when you hear the crunch of sand and seashells and notice the lovely fragrance of heather smoke. Grilled pork chops, oregano and sautéed samphire flavored with salted butter can be smelled from the nose.
As the whisky matures, you can notice a combination of cherries touched by Pinot Noir and small reminders of cocoa powder and coal dust. Because of the water, complexities in the aroma appear and you can smell orange peel, walnuts and smoked salmon canapés. The burger has a sweet taste full of chimney ash, honey and smoked bacon which is balanced by the sweetness of glazed sausage and the praline-filled shells of barnacles.

Fluffylump

Fluffylump has a light and delicate taste and its ABV is 58.0%. Topped on 20/01/2014 and aged for some time in a secondhand whisky barrel, it highlights the Lowland style and please with a vibrant flavor. When smelling it, you may get hints of fluffy pink marshmallows, toasted coconut, the aroma of yellow gorse flowers and a little golden syrup. You can detect bubblegum, jelly beans, pineapple rings, kiwi and vanilla fudge in its sweet and fruity palate.
As the whisky becomes more light, it brings out a taste of soft tea, honey, lemon and pancake. You can notice lemon lingering at the end, giving the dram a pleasant aftertaste.

Tis Not For You To Hear What I Can Speak

It was created in 2002, matured for 16 years and bottled on 31/07/2008. Because it is rich and offers many dried fruit flavors, it becomes known for its complexity and interesting profile. The nose offers dark fruits that have a hint of vinegar, bergamot, blood orange and candied peels, moving on to notes of brown bread smeared with treacle and chocolate gingers. After the reduction, the whisky brings out softer aromas such as custard creams and liquorice.
The flavor is strong and more prominent than I anticipated, thanks to its medicinal taste made by herbal extracts, wood spice and ginger. The marzipan, chocolate muffins, tobacco notes and light strawberry jam continue to reveal themselves as the notes get fewer.
