City Marks Suicide Prevention Education Day | News, Sports, Jobs
From yoga to sidewalk vending to music to pounds to sidewalk chalk to massage to mindfulness, Suicide Prevention Education Day downtown includes a little bit of everything.
The event included supporting CORE (Choosing Openness About Experience)’s mission to provide mental health and suicide prevention education in Warren County and bringing people to downtown Warren to support local businesses. I have two missions.
It takes place on Fridays from 10am to 8pm on Liberty Street and Second Avenue in Warren. The event centers around the gazebo at Art Kelsey Park. The road will be closed from Thursday night.
“There are more than 25 vendors on the street, in addition to the store managers who set up shop on the sidewalk outside the store.” CORE Founder Kari Swanson said:
“There’s a bouncy house, face painting, sidewalk chalk, and a kid’s area with activities.”
