Christopher Kane is fully recovered. During the pandemic, the designer chose to continue runway activity on his DL and focus on the laid-back “More Joy” merchandise line. For the Spring/Summer 2022 season, the womenswear designer returned to the stage for his fashion week in London, where the show was described in his notes as “conservative yet playful and subversive. But sensual, hard against soft, Sinister and Innocent’ collection. For Fall 2022, Kane has delivered a glamorous sensual range and oozed enormous sex appeal.

Designers welcome (we believe) hundreds of fashion-hungry guests to the Camden Roundhouse, a legendary concert venue celebrated by Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and more, and London Fashion Week. concluded Sunday night’s event. Showtime was preceded by a nationwide one-minute silence in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. What followed showcased Kane in a roaring light, displaying an array of classy materials and a sweet innocence while maintaining the sensuality Kane was known for at the height of her days.

A pounding musical beat set the scene, as if Kane had set his own concert on fire. At SS23, designers celebrated the female figure from the inside out. Presenting a collection that rests between superficial skin and musculature, semi-sheer organza skirt suits are adorned with lace and folded at the hem to mimic layers of skin.Clear vinyl cutouts complete the look. Dominating, she replaced her bra straps and hung them in the air. The model shone with every step as the glossy material loosely disguised body parts delineating her six-pack abs, chest and collarbones. Shimmering silk dresses are embellished with muscular paintings of hands, arms, legs and feet, offering a comical approach to anatomy. It was held down, wrapped around the waist, and hung over the shoulders of models walking down the runway.

Delicate pink florals in full bloom punctuated short-sleeved nurse dresses and knitwear, spreading a tender message of congratulations and sympathy for the loss of the Queen.

In the footwear department, Kane sent in a series of silhouettes that conveyed sharp edges as if they were made in an operating room, while others featured biological depictions of the foot and toes.
