Boone County Health Department reports 7 more COVID-19 deaths since early July

Seven more Boone County residents have been added to the county’s COVID-19 death toll.
The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Social Services said Friday that the deaths occurred between early July and mid-August. One deceased was in the group from He’s 70 to He’s 74, the department reported.
The seven newly reported deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020 bring the county’s total to 255.
The health department also reported 47 new COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, bringing the total to 51,226.
