[INSIGHT] There is no doubt that digital marketing has grown rapidly and taken the marketing department by storm.
With the rise and popularity of social media and content curation, this growth seemed seamless. Because there are people uploading content to the digital space every single day.
Today, influencer marketing with a large following has spawned “influencer marketing” who constantly promotes brands through content marketing. When a brand wants to showcase a new product, it’s trending to have influencers post on their social media accounts to get their followers to buy the product or service or engage with the content.
With the above in mind, is it safe to say that everyone has become a digital marketer? Instead of getting help from digital marketing agencies, brands are using influencers to promote their products and services through digital campaigns. Is it cost-effective to advertise? Where is the line between influencers doing content marketing and digital marketing agencies curating content for sale?
Digital agencies now bear the burden of differentiating themselves from everyday influencers down to brands. The effectiveness of content influencers makes choosing an agency to run a campaign almost impossible, at least to some extent.
Data mining may be the trend to watch in digital agencies. It already exists, but it’s a cross-the-line survey to get information about clients, products, and insights. However, extensive research will be conducted in the near future to obtain precise information on certain aspects of the product and insight research.
For example, as things stand, a study that crosses the line might mean understanding when customers like a burger, but a large-scale study will tell you when customers like to eat a burger and what they typically do. It may be possible to delve deeper into what causes this desire.
Precision marketing and content marketing are in sync and will be the trends of the future. Companies like Idea Hive are already stepping into this future. Data mining is the differentiating factor between using influencers and digital agencies to market your content.
