William Sowallich, who has led 474 consecutive laps on the PLM Tour, saw the checkered flag fly in front of him in Saturday’s 100-lap feature at the Tri-Counties.
That efficient streak came to an abrupt and shocking end after Sawalich was turned into the outside retaining wall by Jake Garcia out of Turn 4. The result of making Garcia regret and disappointing the victory lane.
