Subject to the contest rules, the four winners will have original designs and variations of those designs centered around up to two of the four contest themes created around the unique mission of Newchic’s CSR-conscious co-sponsors. At the first judging held on the weekend of August 22, 2022 (PST), Newchic’s Celebrity Jury (Paula Franco, Daniel SarkisianWhen Marcos Gonzales) evaluated all submissions based on eight categories: Creativity, Design, Resourcefulness, Theme Adherence, Productivity, Originality, Relevance, and Popularity. The final category, popularity, allowed the public to participate in the decision-making process by voting for their favorite designs. Once the top eight designs were selected, Newchic hosted a round of his one-on-one private video interviews with each of her seven finalists to learn more about her journey as a designer. The public was once again invited to vote for their favorite design among the top eight.
