Apprentice secures first job after switching college to digital marketing course
A major virtual PA network provided its first apprenticeship with a full-time employee working in conjunction with NowSkills, a specialist digital & IT apprenticeship firm.
Based in Cheshire, Pink Spaghetti provides remote business support services such as digital marketing and business management to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The company, which has 60 franchisees, hired its first apprentice through NowSkills in October 2020. Laura Comerford recently completed a course in Digital Marketing (Level 3) and after an 18-month placement, she was offered employment as her Executive in Digital Marketing.
During her apprenticeship, 22-year-old Laura has a deep knowledge of Word Press, Instagram Reels, and Canva for design, as well as Mailchimp, Mailerlite, and Hubspot.
Based at the brand’s headquarters in Northwich, Laura has supported flagship franchises. She will continue to support the many small businesses in the Northwest region that specialize in blogging, website management, and social media by providing cutting-edge digital her marketing services.
Originally from Ireland, Laura first came to England to study at university but felt she was on the wrong career path. After she demonstrated her talent and her interest in digital marketing in part of her college course, she applied for her digital marketing apprenticeship at NowSkills.
Commenting on her new role, Laura said: Her first point of contact guided me through which apprenticeship routes and courses were suitable for me. NowSkills also gave her great advice on how to prepare for interviews, and ultimately landed her the job she wanted. Almost two years later she is still working for the same company and she loves it.
