Nordstrom flagship launches designer pop-up honoring New York fashion and designers
New York City’s flagship Nordstrom store is showcasing some of New York City’s most famous designers in a new pop-up this fall.
The flagship store at 225 W 57th Street officially launched its ‘New York’ center stage on September 7th. The pop-up features his eight designers, each designing a “power dressing”-themed capsule.
Participating designers are Carolina Herrera, Kaite, Gabriela Hirst, Joseph Altuzarra, San Cintra, Commission, Proenza Schuler for fashion and Lynn Yeager for jewelry. Curated by Nordstrom’s Women’s Designer Fashion & Editorial Director Rickie Dehe
Sole, each capsule highlights a powerful display of sophistication in bold suiting with sharp tailoring, touches of leather and tough, plush fabrics, all of which encapsulate a New York aesthetic. The display includes a selection of her favorite designer jewelry, including David Webb.
Statement rings, Sophie Billy Brahe pearls, pomellato chains and Harwell Godfrey charm pendants are available from Nordstrom’s selection during installation.
In addition to the designer capsules, Greenwich Village’s American Bar will pop up at Nordstrom’s Level 3 Broadway Bar for a month, offering a retro Americana vibe and traditional food and cocktails. New York-based luxury footwear brand Stuart Weitzman will also take over his ground-floor Shoe Bar at Nordstrom, offering specialty branded cocktails and on-site customization services.
To celebrate the launch of “New York” Center Stage, Nordstrom will host a storewide event on September 17th. Customers can enjoy custom his activations of Colina Strada, Marc Jacobs, Stuart Weitzman, Mansur Gabriel, Lingua Franca, Ulla Johnson and Tom.Ford, Lee
