Will time travel be possible? The science behind the possibilities.

A common theme in science fiction media, time travel fascinates. The late philosopher David Lewis defined it in his essay The Paradox of Time Travel:[involving] gap between time and space-time. Travelers depart and then arrive at their destination. Elapsed time from departure to arrival … is the duration of the journey. “
Time travel is commonly understood as returning to a bygone era or jumping to a point in the future. But how many of the ideas are based in reality? Is time travel possible?
Is time travel possible?
NASA says time travel is possible, but not in the way you would expect. Albert According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, time and motion are relative to each other, and nothing can go faster than the speed of light, which is 186,000 miles per second. Time travel occurs through so-called “time dilation”.
According to Live Science, time dilation is how people perceive time differently depending on their movement and location. Therefore time is relative.
Dr. Ana Alonso Serrano, a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Germany, explained the possibility of time travel and how researchers are testing the theory.
Space and time are not absolute values, said Alonso-Serrano. What makes this even more complicated is the fact that it can carve space-time.

“At the moment that ticks space-time, we can manipulate its curvature to make time cycle and create a time machine,” Alonso Serrano told USA TODAY.

She explained that time travel is theoretically possible. The mathematics behind creating the curvature of spacetime are solid, but trying to reproduce the exacting physical conditions needed to prove these theories can be difficult.
“The hard part is whether you can find a physical, realistic way,” she said.
According to Alonso-Serrano, wormholes and warp drives are the tools used to create this curvature. The material required to achieve space-time curvature via wormholes is an exotic material with no success. Researchers don’t even know if this kind of substance exists, she said.
“That’s what we’re working on because it’s theoretically possible and a very good way to test our theories to look for possible paradoxes,” Alonso-Serrano adds. I got
Other than the above method, Alonso Serrano is not convinced of any other method of time travel.
“I can’t say anything is impossible, but I can’t ignore the possibility,” she said.
She also mentioned Stephen Hawking’s champagne party anecdote for time travelers. Hawking had a GPS-specific location for the party. Since no transmission was made, only those who can travel to the past can participate.
