Sarintha Stricklin is no stranger to the field of education, but her efforts over the past four years have taken important steps in expanding access to early care and education in Jefferson Parish. As executive her director of Jefferson Lady Start her network, she advocates for the importance of early childcare access throughout Louisiana. Her work offers an opportunity for coalition-building between individuals and organizations committed to creating and executing her vision of a bold local for early childhood.
Stricklin and the Jefferson Ready Start Network continue to improve the accessibility and quality of early childhood education at Jefferson Parish. Through her leadership, JRSN has launched the Future Fund, which her community members and businesses can donate directly to support early childhood education in Jefferson Parish. She also advocated for the Jefferson Parish Council, securing more than $500,000 of her funding to provide seats for economically disadvantaged children.
Stricklin also serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Human Services District. As a member of the Inclusive System, she serves on the Board of Directors of Families Helping Families Southeast Louisiana, the Board of Directors of Families Helping Families of Louisiana, and the Research Committee of the Early Childhood Council of the International Division for Exceptional Children. I have served. She serves as Director of Human Resource Development for the Louisiana Interagency Coordinating Council and as National Membership Chair for the Board of Directors of the International Division of the Early Childhood Council for Exceptional Children.
