UAMS, Medsker’s Pharmacy Partners Deliver Lonoke County Community Health Workers

| | Fayetteville – Lindsey Koons and Stephanie Bowlan were recently hired to help people in Lonoke County navigate the health care system through a partnership with the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) and Medscar Pharmacy. rice field.
As community-embedded healthcare workers, Koonce and Bowlan are able to answer basic medical questions and provide education and resources to the public. Community health workers work within communities to help the public get the care they need and answer important healthcare-related questions such as when to see a doctor and information about vaccines.
“As we enter the next and hopefully final phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are very excited to work with Lindsey and Stephanie to bring new resources to the people of Lonoke County,” said Stephanie Krueger, Community Programs. Associate Director said at the UAMS Office of Community Health & Research. We are also excited to be working with Medsker’s Pharmacy and the Lonoke County community to improve the health of everyone in Arkansas. “
