Swap Shop Brings Sustainable Fashion to UConn

STORRS, CT (WFSB) – UConn students are helping the environment by trading in their unwanted clothes.
The swap shop has opened.
By trading in your old clothes, you can refresh your closet and make it sustainable.
Kaley Luk, senior at UConn, said:
Swap Shop’s mission is to encourage students to shop more sustainably.
“So you have to bring items to get them,” said Madeline Kizer, co-founder of UConn Swap Shop.
Kaiser said it was all an effort to stop fast fashion.
“Fashion is one of the biggest causes of pollution today. I think we can take it back and make it look cool and fun,” Kaiser said.

Our shop is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. They need more men’s clothing.
