Olympia — The Washington State Department of Health has taken disciplinary action or dropped charges against the following health care providers in the state:
The department’s Health Systems Quality Assurance Division works with its Board, Commissions, and Advisory Board to set licensing standards for more than 80 healthcare professionals (dentists, nurses, counselors, etc.). Information about disciplinary action against physicians and physician assistants can be found on the Washington Medical Commission (WMC) website. Questions regarding WMC disciplinary action can be sent to media@wmc.wa.gov.
Information about health care providers can be found on the agency’s website. Click “Look up a health care provider license” under “How Do I?” Section of the Department of Health website (doh.wa.gov). This site contains information about a healthcare provider’s license status, certification expiration and renewal dates, disciplinary action, and copies of legal documents issued after July 1998. Consumers who believe their healthcare provider has acted unprofessional are encouraged to call and report a complaint.
Clark County
