Trinity trend yes or no?
Despite the sweltering heat in San Antonio, the majority of Trinity students show up every day in fashionable fits and trendy accessories. Among these trends, many have come and gone in rapid succession these days, from skateboards to scooters.
In honor of this week’s fashion edition, Trinitonian spoke with stylish students at the Coates Student Center to ask for their style icons and their opinions on current Trinity trends.
Who are your celebrity style icons/inspirations?
“I don’t think I have any. But to anyone reading this, check out what Adam Sandler wears. And I think people should be more restrictive… Fashion is free, brother, dress as you please. [my] Fashion inspiration — aesthetics from the game EarthBound and the 1994 SNES game. The whole game is bop and all of it, design and nice. ”
Are there any particular trends that you absolutely love or hate?
“Honestly, the mullet revival is kind of funny. So when do you actually wear things that are actually fun to wear, like aesthetically pleasing hairstyles.Into trends?…When it comes to trends, your fashion sense and what you wear I think it’s an extension of who you are, so regardless of whether you join fashion trends or not, people should wear what they want.It’s part of who they are.
Who are your celebrity style icons/inspirations?
“I really like Billie Eilish’s dress. It’s so fluid and just shows who she really is, and I also really like the colors she uses.
Someone used to say Adam Sandler and I’ve seen them compared in the media. what do you think about this?
“I think that’s fine. I like how he dresses and [and] I’ve heard that he’s a celebrity, so he’s dressed very modestly, and I like the way he expresses himself. I think it’s a really good way to show the world that it’s important to be humble and show your true self, whether you’re famous or not.
Are there any particular trends that you absolutely love or hate?
“Now I really like tennis skirts, especially white skirts, but I would love to have skirts in all colors to fit my body. , very fluid and comfortable.And I think they are really pretty.
Who is your celebrity style icon?
“I really don’t [have anyone] … My inspiration right now is a lot of dirty laundry. [outfit] It was beautiful. ”
Are there any particular trends that you absolutely love or hate?
“I’m a big fan of long skirts coming back into fashion because I think they’re really comfortable, they protect you from the sun, and they’re really good for the environment. I think it’s so good to be here in San Antonio that the “modesty” trend is back. ”
Who is your celebrity style icon?
“I love DJ James Hype. [and] Skater Nyjah Huston.
Do you think it’s a cool trend or is it just super useful?
“It’s very convenient. I love skating. I’ve been skating for five or six years.”
Who is your celebrity style icon?
“There’s one particular artist, he’s more of a hip-hop, R&B artist. His name is Saba and he wears intricate hats and other crazy beanies, all his own designs. is. [it’s] It’s just that everything is irrelevant.
Are there any particular trends that you absolutely love or hate?
“I see a lot of people wearing shorts and long sleeves, or sweaters, and that’s exactly… I’m digging into it, but sometimes it pisses me off and you don’t cover it like you do.” If you’re cold, you’re cold, but overall, I think everyone has their own fashion sense that’s culturally developed, so no matter what they’re wearing, I’m not going to judge. [others] You may not like it. ”
Who is your celebrity style icon?
“[I don’t really have one], I think you just wear what you think is cool. I think some of my styles are probably inspired by friends back home. ”
Are there any particular trends that you absolutely love or hate?
“Personally, I don’t follow trends much, [but] I love seeing people wearing Doc Martens. Very cool. I’m thinking two pairs with me. …But yeah, I think people look cool in things.
