Reach your New Year’s health and fitness goals
Harrisonburg, Virginia (WHSV) – This time next week the holiday season will end and the new year will begin.
It’s time for gym memberships to ramp up as people start working on their New Year’s resolutions.
Valley Fitness Co-Owner Val Holmes said:
According to Holmes, what attracts many Valley Fitness customers is the variety and fitness activities they offer.
“We have a pool. We have classes. We have courses for seniors. We have classes that we know are a little more aggressive, so there’s something for everyone here,” Holmes said. Told.
Holmes said the most difficult thing for someone new to the gym is the intimidation factor.
“Like the hare and the tortoise, move slowly and steadily. You’ll get better results than two hours a day for two weeks until you get sick of it,” said Holmes.
Holmes told me to set short-term goals to get the best results and stay motivated with determination.
“It has to fit your lifestyle. Take 45 minutes or an hour 2-3 times a week and be able to do it consistently and look forward to getting involved and working out.” If they’re doing something else, they’re naturally wanting to start eating probably healthier, and they’re all sorts of matching,” Holmes said.
