Dr. Gregory G. Dell’Omo Honored for Second Consecutive Year
Dr. Gregory G. Delomo, president of Rider University, said: NJBIZMore Education Power 50 list for 2022. This is his second straight year on the list.
The annual list recognizes influential leaders in education from across the state. This year’s list focuses on individuals working in the context of healthcare, helping empower people in underserved communities and is dedicated to strengthening trade. The people represent a wide range of expertise, but all leaders help ensure that “the next generation, and the generation after that, are better equipped to move the nation forward.”
“It’s an honor to represent all these great leaders in education,” said Dell’Omo. “I share this honor with all of my Rider colleagues who make this place so special. Our students thrive because of the support they receive from Rider’s dedicated community.”
NJBIZMore We looked at many of the recent innovative programs launched under Dell’Omo’s leadership.
These programs include Lifting Barriers, a series of new measures announced in 2020 aimed at enhancing the overall value of rider education. This includes his 22% reduction in annual undergraduate tuition and strong support for career readiness and academic success.
In Spring 2021, Dell’Omo led the launch of Rider’s Cranberry Investment program. This ensures that responsible Rider undergraduates get entry-level jobs related to their field of study or are accepted into graduate or vocational schools within 2021. Half a year after graduation.
