The U of A Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering welcomes Joshua Gilgen as its new accounting manager.

Gilgen has been with U of A since 2020. Sponsored Her Programs In her most recent position as a post-awards specialist in her office, Gilgen reviews new awards and award amendments in her Workday, creates journal entries to correct accounting, and reports awards and generated an invoice. She helped clean up the accounting from the sponsors and conversion to the new software.

Prior to attending Gilgen College, I worked as a bank teller in Joplin, Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Southern State University of Missouri.

Jia Di, Head of Computer Science and Engineering and Head of Search, said she was thrilled to have Gilgen join the team.

“He is a valuable asset to our growing team. We work hard to assemble a staff of extraordinary people and Josh has proven his abilities to the college in a short amount of time.” Di said.

Gilgen hopes to contribute his skills and knowledge to the department developmentally.

“I am thrilled to be part of an amazing team in the Computer Science and Computer Engineering department and look forward to future success,” said Gilgen.
