The Youngstown-Mahoning County Mental Health Recovery Commission recognized this year’s Mental Health Recovery Award winners at the annual recognition luncheon held at the Tyler Historical Center on Thursday.
This year’s awardees included individuals and organizations across the Valley working to address the mental health and recovery needs of residents throughout Mahoning County. .
– Adult Advocate of the Year: Kassandra Kornbau of DNP
– Child Advocate of the Year: ACLD’s Erica Brown-Fire
– Crisis Incident Stress Management Award: Sergeant. Chuck Hillman of Boardman Police Department.
– Crisis Intervention Training Officer of the Year: Sgt. Robert J. Bukovich of Mill Creek Police Department
– Eagle Award: Mark Reich for Mahoning Valley Dispute Resolution
– Front Line Staff of the Year (VanGuard Award): Sean Robinson of Meridian Health Care
– Leader of the Year: Joe Shorokey of Alta Behavioral Healthcare
– Program of the Year: Mahoning Valley Mobile Market – Jeff Magada of Flying High Inc. and Rose Carter of Action Youngstown
– Support Staff of the Year (Pillar Award): Ashley Mariano, Eastern Ohio Center for Education Services
