London Fashion Week SS23 Day 3 Highlights
Day two of London Fashion Week came to a close after Emily Ratajkowski walked the (casino) runway at JW Anderson and Molly Goddard’s Thuletopia swept Seymour Leisure Centre. But his third day began with Ratajkowski swapping out Anderson’s oversized t-shirt for his Dojaka sheer, form-fitting dress by Nensi, and footwear by his designer Ankuta his Sarka. A stand-alone showcase followed.
Simone Rocha’s presentation of her menswear debut at The Old Bailey welcomed guests all day, while David Koma headed outdoors for his runway show. HYLO floor.
Read on for highlights from Day 3 at LFW before this season’s showcase ends on September 20th.
Simone Rocha
Simone Rocha took guests to court for SS23 to unveil a selection of statement jackets, tulle clad dresses and zip-up pants. Each dramatic look was completed with larger-than-life accessories, from her oversized ruched gloves to her vision-distorting headdress to her delicately beaded bag. Rocha’s signature ribbons and floral prints adorned most of her 23 SS creations, sprinkled with playful silver minidresses, her tulle jackets and form-fitting corsets. Overall, Rocha’s showcase was not to be missed.
David Koma
David Koma’s SS23 showcase was one of the most talked about days three of London Fashion Week. One of the few shows he’s had outdoors (previously William He was also the space that housed the works of Shakespeare), this collection was a brilliant lesson in all things color. From electric blues and bright oranges to bright yellows and greens, Koma’s showcase fused his holographic jackets and boots with fluffy bags, padded jackets, and sparkly mesh his pants. Inspired by ‘collision and harmony between the natural and the unnatural’, the collection takes its cues from women’s motorsport his drivers and takes a petrol motif.
Regina Pyo
One of Fashion Week’s understated showcases, Rejina Pyo’s 23 SS was a dedication to femininity. Expressed in draped dresses and sheer fabrics, the collection fuses delicate tailoring with delicate crochet bras, her button-up tops and her patchwork denims. Silhouettes are fluid and soft, with sculptural elements sprinkled throughout, complete with handcrafted accessories, gold-plated hardware and wood-heeled sandals.
