Washington – Press. Biden signed the Patient Advocate Tracking Act into law, with Sen. John Kennedy (R-RA) and Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Georgia) leading the Senate. This law will increase the VA’s transparency and accountability for veterans who report concerns they have experienced with VA’s medical services.
“The Patient Advocate Tracking Act will enable veterans to receive more efficient and quality care from the VA.,” said Kennedy.
VA uses the Patient Assistance Tracking System (PATS) to track and report complaints from veterans. The Patient Advocate Tracking Act allows the veteran to access her PATS to file complaints, including interim and final steps taken by the VA to resolve issues facing individual veterans. or check the status of any medical concerns.
By granting veterans access to PATS, VA employees can efficiently route veterans’ concerns to the appropriate department within the VA, avoiding unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles.
