Greene County Airport is home to several companies, including MacAir Aviation, which provides flight training and instruction, aircraft maintenance, and serves as a fixed base operator for fuel, ground transportation, and flight plans at the airport. Last year, Sinclair Community College signed a three-year contract with MacAir to provide fixed-wing ground and flight training instruction to aviation students.
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base also uses Green County Airport to train medical personnel, and the airport hosts Air Camps that teach children about aviation skills through STEM-focused activities.

“We have a healthy interest in having our aircraft at the airport,” said Christensen. “With some of the investments made here, we are looking to support the wider Green County community.
Of the 50 hangars at Greene County Airport, 40 are rented by the airport authority and 10 are privately owned “condo” hangars. Hangar rentals range from $205 to $270 per month. The fixed fee is $8 a night, waived with the purchase of fuel, or $50 a month. The airport now has a waiting list for rental spots, with an estimated waiting time of 3 years for new requests.
Christensen said the renovation of the facility is still in the design stage. Construction will begin once the Air Force training program is complete.
