Google has announced the issuance of new career certificates in digital marketing and e-commerce to help job seekers and employers acquire the skills they need to succeed online.

The new certificate is endorsed by the Association of American Advertising Agencies (4A) and the American Advertising Federation (AAF).

Additionally, Google is committed to offering up to 500 Google Career Certificate scholarships to all US companies to help upskill their employees.

Google Career Certificate in Digital Marketing and Ecommerce

Google’s new certification program trains job seekers on how to find customers online, sell products and services, and analyze and measure marketing.

Google’s Digital Marketing and Ecommerce Certification provides hands-on experience with digital marketing tools and platforms such as:

• Kamba
• constant contact
• foot suite
• hubspot
• mail chimp
• Shopify
• twitter
• Google Ads
• google analytics

As with all Google Career Certificates, those who earn a Career Certificate receive help finding jobs through a consortium of employers of over 150 companies. All companies will consider relevant entry-level job credential holders.

What are Google Career Certifications?

Google created Career Certificates in 2018 to support skills in areas of high demand.

According to Google’s report, available on Coursera, more than 70,000 people in the US have graduated from the program.

Additionally, 75% of graduates said the certificate had a positive impact on their career, such as a new job, higher salary, or promotion within six months of graduation.

Google Career Certifications are available in areas such as data analytics, IT support, project management, user experience (UX) design, and now e-commerce and digital marketing.

Enrollment in an accredited program requires no degree or experience and can be completed within 3-6 months of part-time study.
